Regina – Regina’s first accused serial killer has opted for a judge-only trial.

34-year-old Clayton Bo Eichler is facing two first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of Richelle Bear and Kelly Goforth.

The body of 21-year-old Goforth was found in an alley in September 2013.

23-year-old Bear was last seen in August 2013, but her body has not been found.

Eichler will go to trial in September for two counts of first-degree murder and offering an indignity to a human body– it’s alleged he had intercourse with Bear’s body after she had been killed.

He’s also accused of violently choking and raping a woman behind a home in a Regina industrial area in June 2012, but those charges will see a separate court case.
