REGINA – The man accused of being Regina’s first serial killer is now facing charges in a a case of sexual assault.
Regina Police say Clayton Bo Eichler, 33, has been charged in connection with a serious attack committed on a 24 year-old Regina woman in 2012.
Eichler is already in custody facing two counts of first degree murder. He was first charged in the death of Kelly Goforth, 21, before police later accused him of killing of Richele Bear, 23.
The latest charges against Eichler are aggravated sexual assault and overcome resistance by attempting to choke.
They stem from an incident that took place after midnight on June 28, 2012. Regina police say the victim got into a vehicle driven by a man who drove to the back of a property in the 1600 block of Broder Street.
That’s when a violent assault for a sexual purpose allegedly took place.
During the attack the victim lost consciousness. When she woke up she was alone, lying on the ground.
She reported the matter to police when she got home later that night.
Eichler appeared in court Friday morning and will be back before a judge again on December 31.
