EDMONTON – An autopsy has concluded that a man found bleeding on a street in the neighbourhood of McCauley early Thursday morning was murdered, according to the Edmonton Police Service.
On Friday, police identified the victim as 46-year-old Robert Paul Loyer and said he died of blunt force trauma.
Around 12:55 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to an area near 106 Avenue just west of 96 Street where they found a man on the ground bleeding.

Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said six to seven people were seen fleeing the area at when the incident unfolded.
