Saskatoon firefighters battle 2 suspicious fires

SASKATOON – Two overnight fires in Saskatoon are being investigated as suspicious. They happened early Thursday morning in alleys in the 2400-block of Broadway Avenue, and the 2500-block of William Avenue.

Both happened about the same time, and both quickly spread to fences and a detached garage.

Saskatoon Fire Department engine companies were split up to attack both fires at the same time, which were brought under control within minutes.

So far there’s no estimate of damage.
