Third person charged with murder in stabbing death of Edmonton man

EDMONTON — Police have charged a third person in connection with a 2015 homicide.

Clinton Kailek, 26, has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Deng Tong.

On Feb. 22, 2015, police found two men suffering from stab wounds in the area of 102 Street and 107 Avenue.

A short time later officers found Tong suffering from stab wounds inside an apartment a block away, at 103 Street and 107 Avenue.

The 23-year-old was taken to hospital, where he died.

Kailek is also facing three charges each of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Last month, Billy Nelson, 37, and Tyler Strathdee, 27, were also charged with first-degree murder and three counts each of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

Tong’s death was Edmonton’s third homicide of 2015.
