PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Two men are safe after being stranded on a Peterborough County lake late Tuesday night.
Provincial police say the incident took place on Buckhorn Lake just before 11:30 p.m.

They say the two men were trying to move docks across the lake with a small boat when their vessel capsized, sending one of the men into the icy water.

Police say the men screamed for help, which drew attention and triggered rescue efforts.
The men were found by a fire service vessel and brought to an ambulance before being taken to a hospital where they were treated for hypothermia.
