Calgary police have arrested a man in the city’s northwest after an overnight shooting left a victim recovering in hospital.
At around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, police and EMS responded to a home on the 3000 block of Dover Ridge Drive S.E. for reports that a man in his 30s had been shot.

Police said “a number of people” were taken from the home for questioning. Investigators said Wednesday the shooter knew the victim, and the incident was thought to be over a personal dispute.
John Abraham Young, 33, of no fixed address, faces multiple assault, robbery and firearms-related charges. He’s set to appear in court Thursday.
