Lauryn Hill announced as headliner for 2016 Halifax Jazz Festival

Award-winning jazz, R&B and hip hop sensation Lauryn Hill will be headlining this year’s Halifax Jazz Festival in July.

A release to media says the world-renowned artist will be playing the festival’s Main Stage on Tuesday, July 12.

Hill’s 1998 record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was nominated for 10 Grammys, she won five.

Tickets are set to go on sale Thursday, and will cost $68.

The 2016 Halifax Jazz Festival runs from July 12-17.
