Known for bestsellers like Kids are worth it! Giving your child the gift of inner discipline, veteran author Barbara Coloroso has been writing about the subject for close to four decades.

While she’s updated her books, she hasn’t taken anything out because she says the goal of “raising responsible, resourceful, resilient, compassionate human beings” hasn’t changed.

“What’s exciting for me is I’m on the third generation now,” Coloroso said. “Parents are coming with their little ones in their arms saying, ‘My grandmother gave me this book.'”

Parenting workshops in Edmonton use Coloroso’s principles in teaching kids about consequences.
