TORONTO – Constellation Software Inc. (TSX:CSU) has made an Australian acquisition as part of its plans for addressing the passenger transportation industry in the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Bacchus Management Holdings Pty Ltd. of Brisbane will be part of the Trapeze Group, a subsidiary of Constellation’s Volaris division. Financial terms weren’t disclosed in Friday’s announcement.

Bacchus has a real-time passenger information and ticketing system used by bus and coach services in Australia and New Zealand.
Trapeze also has operations in Adelaide providing the Australian transport market with integrated solutions for fixed route and community transport scheduling, driver performance management, eco-driving and journey planning

“With the addition of Bacchus, we look forward to offering a more comprehensive product portfolio to public transport operators in Australia and New Zealand,” said Michael Dufton, general manager with Trapeze Group’s Asia Pacific operations.
“We believe that this acquisition will also provide strong solutions to meet the needs of Indian & Asian transport operators.”
