With the injuries piling up the Winnipeg Jets call up Josh Morrisey

WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets recalled defenceman Josh Morrissey from the Manitoba Moose on Friday.

Morrissey, 20, has appeared in 56 games for the Moose this season. He has three goals, 19 assists and 47 penalty minutes.

Earlier on Friday the Jets called up forward JC Lipon from the Moose on an emergency recall basis. The Jets are shorthanded after both Nikolaj Ehlers and Anthony Peluso were injured in Thursday’s loss to the New York Islanders.
