Reality star Tila Tequila defends Twitter posts about the ‘N’-word

It’s not unusual for Tila Tequila to post strange things to Twitter; not long ago, she was a proponent of the “Flat Earth” theory, and she frequently writes in all caps for no apparent reason.

Unfortunately, things took a much darker turn on Wednesday, when the reality TV star began to tweet a series of posts addressing the use of the “N”-word. Tequila, 34, insisted that she hears the word used in music so often, so she should have the right to use it whenever she wants.

She refers to a recent song and video by Nicki Minaj as an example of how the word can “trigger & activate certain responses in people who are unaware.”

Somehow the whole Twitter rant devolved into a conversation about someone fighting over a pair of sneakers.

Tequila then said she was a “social scientist” and apologized, saying she was performing “online experiments.”

The one-time Shot at Love star couldn’t leave well enough alone, returning on Thursday with more tweets.

She closed out with this tweet, which squarely puts the blame on others, but not herself.
