New charge for Ont. biker facing murder charge in Sask.

SASKATOON – A new charge has been laid against an Ontario man facing a murder charge in Saskatoon. John Glenn MacAulay is charged with second-degree murder in the 2014 death of Norman Playter.

During a court appearance Wednesday, MacAulay was charged with offering an indignity to a human body.

MacAulay, who is from North Bay but was living in Saskatoon at the time, is alleged to have put Playter’s body in a refrigerator and later burning the remains.

Playter was originally reported missing to Calgary police after visiting Saskatoon.

Police say the two men were members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club and knew each other.
