Vandals tag businesses in downtown Calgary spray-painting spree

WATCH: Police are searching for suspects involved in a spray-painting spree that saw businesses and vehicles in Kensington and the downtown core tagged. Bindu Suri reports.


CALGARY – Police are investigating a spray-painting spree that targeted a number of businesses and at least a dozen vehicles in Kensington and the downtown core.

Investigators said vandals ‘tagged’ numerous vehicles, stores and signs along Kensington Road N.W. between 10 Street and 14 Street N.W.

Several vehicles, including a police cruiser and an ATCO trailer, were also tagged in the area of 9 Street S.W. and 5 Avenue S.W.

Police believe the spray-painting occurred between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Anyone who may have witnessed the vandalism is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
