If you’re looking to spruce up the look of your home, celebrity designer Amanda Forrest, has some ideas that incorporate the latest trends of 2016.
Fun with fabric
Make small changes that leave a big impact. Forrest says the best way to do this is by using bright and fun fabrics on your curtains, furniture or pillows.
Wild with wallpaper
When it comes to wallpaper, Forrest says, make a bold statement. You can add some flash to your home by using florals, geometric patterns and animal prints. You can also keep things simple by sticking to one accent wall.
Pop with paint
This year, the trend in colour is bright and bold, specifically pink. While you may already have the ideal room in mind to decorate, Forrest says don’t box yourself in to painting walls, alone.
Painted furniture and accessories are the easiest and most cost effective ways to add colour to a room by simply using what you have.
Whether you’re painting a picture frame, a chair or a dresser, Forrest says it’s easy to create a one-of-a-kind statement piece.
