Woman faces 10 charges in crash that killed passenger

TORONTO – A Toronto woman is facing 10 charges after a fatal collision that took place over the weekend.

Toronto police allege that 53-year-old Thi Ngo was trying to negotiate a turn in a local road early Sunday morning when she lost control and drove into a tree.

They say a 46-year-old man travelling in Ngo’s Nissan Pathfinder was injured in the crash.

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Ngo is facing charges including impaired operation causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.

She was due in court Tuesday.
