Miles’ departure marks the third coaching change in the Bombers organization this off-season. The club replaced fired offensive coordinator Marcel Bellefeuille with former head coach Paul LaPolice in December. Receivers coach Markus Howell left Winnipeg last month to join the Roughriders.

Miles played 12 seasons in the CFL with the Montreal Alouettes and the BC Lions. He’s won four Grey Cups including two as a coach. Miles was a nine-time division all-star and was named a CFL all-star six times. He retired at the end of the 2009 season before becoming BC’s defensive assistant the following year.
