TORONTO – A driver was able to escape his car without injury after it careened into a guardrail and plunged into the Don River on Sunday morning.
Toronto police say they received a call at 9:42 a.m. after a car crashed into a median on the southbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway. The car then smashed through the guardrail and flipping into the river.
The car was partially submerged, but the driver managed to escape.

Police have not discussed the cause of the crash.
