The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) worked with local police from Montreal, Quebec City, Lévis, Trois-Rivières, Saint-Eustache, Richelieu-Saint-Laurent and Toronto.

The suspects, aged between 27 and 74, could face charges linked to sexual exploitation of children.

They allegedly went online to share stories of their sexual experiences with children and discussed how and when to perform these acts without anyone noticing.

“These men were on chat rooms and they were meeting and giving each other advice on places to go to sexually abuse children,” explained
Mélanie Dumaresq with the SQ.

“We don’t know if they’re linked in other ways.”

Police said there could be more arrests.
