TORONTO – The TDSB has scheduled a new Professional Activity day for Friday April 15.
All 591 TDSB schools will shut their doors to students as teachers participate in “professional development on provincial education priorities identified by the minister of education,” according to a board statement issued Wednesday.

The board says most before- and after-school programs will offer full-day care for kids currently registered in those programs on April 15.
The statement from the board says the additional day is now mandated by the ministry of education, resulting from provincial labour negotiations.
