REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders have acquired international receiver Maurice Price in a deal with the Ottawa Redblacks.

The Green and White also add a sixth round pick (52nd overall) in the 2016 CFL Draft from Ottawa. In exchange, the Riders have sent their sixth round (45th overall) and seventh round (54th overall) selections to Ottawa.

Price is entering his fifth CFL season. In 2015, the 30-year-old had 58 catches for 603 yards and a touchdown.

“We had an opportunity to acquire a veteran receiver with a high level of speed that can add a game breaking element to our team,” noted Riders vice president of football operations, general manager and head coach Chris Jones.

“He is an intelligent and versatile player that has succeeded playing different roles in multiple offences.”
