The Canadian Hockey League has announced the 40 players that will take part in this years annual Top Prospects Game in Vancouver. Among those who received invites are Oak Bank’s Brett Howden and Brandon Wheat Kings’ defenceman Kale Clague.

Howden, 17, is a forward for the Western Hockey League’s Moose Jaw Warriors. The centreman has scored 15 goals with 18 assists in 36 games this season. Howden will skate with Team Orr.

Clague, 17, is in his second season with the Wheat Kings. The blueliner has one goal and 14 assists in 40 games. He’ll play for Team Cherry.

Matthew Tkachuk who is the son of former Winnipeg Jets forward Keith Tkachuk will also be taking part.

The 21st annual showcase of draft eligible players will be played on Thursday, January 28.
