It was a really dirty job.

The Medford Police department in Oregon posted surveillance photos of an armed bank robbery suspect on Monday.

Described as a white male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall with a small to medium build, the suspect was wearing a grey hoodie and tan baseball cap.

Eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but point out that the suspect was a dead ringer for popular CNN host Mike Rowe, whose previous show on the Discovery Channel was called “Dirty Jobs.”

Police even jokingly responded and said an arrest warrant was issued for the “Somebody’s Gotta Do It” host.

Rowe, who told ABC that he was alerted by his Facebook fans of the criminal doppelganger, responded on Facebook to prove his whereabouts at the time of the robbery.

“I was in Kansas Monday, and can prove it, if need be,” he wrote.

He also pointed out the fact that he is six feet tall and nowhere near a small to medium build. He added that the suspect must be an “idiot” for not wearing a disguise, and if he was, it was entirely plausible that he was wearing a Mike Rowe mask.

But there was one person who didn’t believe Rowe’s side of the story right away: his mother.

“My first thought was, ‘I know what the next call’s going to be,’ and it was. It was my mother,” he said. “’Just please, say you didn’t do it, Michael.’”

Police said they are still searching for the suspect but are certain that he will be caught due to the added exposure.
