Few details are known after a two-month old girl was reported seriously injured near Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation Monday.
The Manitoba RCMP Serious Crime Unit with the help of the Dakota Ojibway Police Service are investigating.

On Monday at approximately 10 a.m. officers from Virden RCMP responded to the call of a seriously injured infant. While officers were on the way they were informed that the two-month old was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The infant was later transported to a hospital in Winnipeg where she remains in critical condition.
A residence on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation is being held by authorities as part of the initial investigation.
