HALIFAX – The New Glasgow Regional Police Service have charged a 36-year-old Robert Jason MacKenzie with second-degree murder in the killing of Nicole Campbell, also of Pictou County.
MacKenzie has been remanded into custody. He will appear in Provincial Court in Pictou on Monday.
Nicole Campbell, 33, was found dead in an apartment on Temperance Street on Wednesday after police responded to a 911 call.

Officials have yet to release the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
