NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — An autopsy will be preformed Friday morning on a woman who was found dead in a New Glasgow apartment.
Const. Ken MacDonald with the New Glasgow Regional Police, says officers received a 911 call that led them to an apartment on Temperance Street around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.
When police arrived, they found the woman dead inside. It is not known at this time how long the woman was dead before she was found.
Investigators with the New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Unit are currently investigating the woman’s death.
At this point, Const. MacDonald says the woman’s death is considered suspicious. The name and age of the woman have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
More information about how and when the woman died is expected once the autopsy is complete.
