SYDNEY, N.S. – Police in Cape Breton have issued a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with a stabbing incident.
Cape Breton Regional Police say Stephen William Murrin of Sydney faces charges of aggravated assault and of being unlawfully in a dwelling.
The charges follow a Dec. 21 incident in which a 26-year-old man from Scotchtown was stabbed.
The victim was treated for his injuries in hospital and was later released.
Police warn that Murrin is known to be violent and could be dangerous.
Murrin is described as six feet tall with brown hair, hazel eyes and a light complexion.
