REGINA – Instead of dumping a natural Christmas tree in the garbage, residents are being asked to recycle their trees after the holidays.
Between Dec. 29 and Jan 30, there will be “Treecycle” depots at 500 Arcola Ave. between Victoria Avenue and Winnipeg Street, the Joanne Goulet Golf Course at 8045 Kestral Dr., Kinsmen Park South at Kings Road and Lakeview Avenue, and the landfill at 1101 Fleet St.

Before dropping off their tree, people are asked to remove decorations and tree bags.
City staff will be at all of the depots on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help people with their tree recycling.
There will be no fee at the landfill for people recycling only a tree.
All trees will be turned into compost.
