Edmonton boxing coach charged with sexual assault

EDMONTON – A boxing coach has been charged with sexual assault in an alleged incident involving an athlete.

In October, police received a report that a boxing coach had made sexual advances toward an athlete at an Edmonton boxing club. The incident allegedly happened in September.

Leo Guilford Marsh, 63, was arrested on Tuesday. He’s been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.

He’s scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13.

Edmonton police aren’t releasing the name of the boxing club to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
