Edmonton driving instructor charged with sexual assault

EDMONTON — An Edmonton driving instructor was charged with sexual assault following an alleged incident involving one of his students.

Police said on Sunday the 38-year-old owner and operator of the Civic Driving Academy picked up the woman at her southwest Edmonton home for a pre-scheduled driving lesson.

The instructor allegedly made several sexual advances towards the woman during the driving lesson.

Sundeep Singh Matharu, 38, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
