Sketch released after alleged sexual assault in Summerside

EDMONTON – Edmonton police have released a composite sketch of a suspect in an alleged sexual assault.

A 36-year-old woman told police she was walking in the Summerside area, near 80 Street and 12 Avenue SW at 4 a.m. Sunday, July 5 when she heard loud music coming from an open garage and saw two men.

She reported hearing someone whistle and then began to run but was caught and knocked to the ground by two men.

The woman told police one of the men sexually assaulted her while the other held her down.

She said she was released when she screamed for help. Then, she ran a short distance before flagging down a taxi.

One suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 6’1″, and 230 lbs. He has short brown hair that was spiked, brown eyes, a short, trimmed beard and was wearing a long-sleeved hooded jacket.

The second suspect is described as a tall and thin male who was also wearing a long-sleeved hooded jacket.

Sexual Assault detectives are looking for the two suspects as well as witnesses who may have seen or heard anything.
