Dustin Darby pleads guilty to role in Bolsa Restaurant killings

CALGARY – A Calgary gangster has admitted to his involvement in the triple murder at Bolsa Restaurant almost seven years ago.

The shooting spree on Jan. 1, 2009 killed alleged gang member Sanjeev Mann and his associate, Aaron Bendle, as well as an innocent bystander, Keni Su’a.

On Thursday, Dustin Darby pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact in connection to the killings.

He also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in a separate case, which involved a plan to kill Kevin Bontogon. Bontogon was the original target of a shooting in August 2008 which left Kevin Steven Anaya, 21, dead. He was shot while walking up to a home in the 1000 block of Marcombe Drive N.E.

Bolsa triple murder: other key players

On Monday, Real Honorio pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Su’a.

Nathan Zuccherato previously pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Bendle, while Michael Roberto admitted to killing Mann.
