Nearly 3 minutes of steady gunfire, explosions in Paris raid caught on camera

A camera captured the moment as heavily armed police officers tried to storm a suburban Paris apartment where the suspected mastermind of last week’s gun and bomb rampage was believed to be holed up.

The operation began before dawn and continued for more than seven hours.

Cell phone video obtained and authenticated by The Associated Press captured the intensity of the Saint-Denis incident from a short distance away. A multitude of gunshots and explosions can be heard over the nearly three minutes of released footage.
