MONTREAL – A 22-year-old man is in hospital after he was struck by a car early Sunday morning.
The collision happened at 2:15 a.m. as the cyclist attempted to cross Parc Avenue just north of Duluth Avenue West, when he was hit by a car heading south on Parc.
The cyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Police now say that his status has been upgraded and that his life is not in danger.
The 25-year-old driver of the car was treated on site for nervous shock.
Investigators have ruled out speeding and alcohol as possible factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
