Missing Mississauga man dies after body pulled from Lake Ontario

TORONTO – A Mississauga kayaker reported missing earlier this week was pronounced dead Saturday after his body was found floating near Toronto’s Tommy Thompson Park.

Toronto police received a call at 9:13 a.m. after a bystander spotted a body wearing a life vest in Lake Ontario.

Peel police later confirmed the man was Mississauga resident Timothy Kelley, 36, who was last seen Thursday evening.

Emergency services personnel pulled the unresponsive Kelley  from the lake and he was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
