SASKATOON – This weekend is the end of daylight saving time, with (most) Canadians preparing to change their clocks. However, one B.C. man wants to get rid of the practice, and have his province join Saskatchewan in not changing our clocks twice a year.

Bob Dieno started an online petition and facebook group to lobby the BC government to do away with day light saving time. He says the disrupt to sleep and medication schedules can be harmful to ones health. Also, Dieno said an increase in workplace injuries and motor vehicle accidents in the week after a time change is reason enough to get rid of the practice.
