Mark Holland has won the Ajax riding for the Liberals, defeating controversial Conservative MP Chris Alexander.
With the win, Holland avenges his 2011 defeat by Alexnader in the now-dissolved Ajax-Pickering riding. Holland served three terms in the riding before his defeat.

Despite Alexander’s 2011 win, the area has historically voted Liberal, and polls pointed toward a Liberal win in 2015.
