REGINA – Regina’s International Airport closed its main runway this afternoon after the landing gear on a twin engine aircraft failed.
The extent of damage to the plane has not been released, however the two people on board were not injured.

The incident happened just after noon and the main runway was shut down for a few hours until the aircraft was removed.
The secondary runway was available, but the restriction meant a number of flights Saturday have been delayed.
