Justin Trudeau makes last stop in Winnipeg ahead of election

WINNIPEG — Federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is hitting Winnipeg for another stop, just two days before Canadians head to the ballot box.

Trudeau will be at the St. James Civic Centre on Ness Avenue for an event labelled “Winnipeg Wants Real Change Now.”

 

His team has not said whether or not Trudeau plans to make any major campaign announcements at the rally or not.

It’s been over a month since the Liberal leader was last in Manitoba.

During his campaign stop on Sept. 29 Trudeau promised his government would provide more money for research and development.

The month before that, he announced a plan to bring in flexible work conditions to the federal labour code.

“We’ll make sure every federally regulated worker can get more flexible work conditions … like working from home or change their hours,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau said that could include a change to start and finish times and the ability to work from home.
