Calgary police lay charges in string of bank robberies

CALGARY – Police have laid additional charges in connection with a string of bank robberies in Calgary.

The thefts occurred between July and August 2015.

Investigators said in each case the suspect presented a robbery note demanding money and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police arrested and charged James Andrew Boisse following a robbery at an ATB in the 900 block of 85 Steet S.W. on Aug. 11.

Boisse has also been charged with an additional seven counts of robbery.

He was expected to appear in court Friday.

Meanwhile, police have charged another man in connection with a robbery earlier this week.

It happened at a TD Canada Trust in the 300 block of 17 Avenue S.W.

Twenty-year-old Bronson Wildfred Palmantier faces one count of robbery in connection with that incident.
