REGINA – After dozens of incidents involving bear spray this year, the Regina Police Service is warning residents they could be charged for using it as a weapon.
RPS says it is a criminal offence to discharge bear spray against another person within city limits.

Possible criminal code charges could include assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon or possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Since January, there have been 44 cases of individuals being attacked with bear spray.
