CALGARY – RCMP have charged a 40-year-old Blackfalds man in connection to the sexual exploitation of a Pennsylvania teen.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) launched an investigation in March after receiving a tip through its Cybertip.ca website.
It’s alleged Brian Haberman travelled to Pennsylvania to have sex with a 16-year-old girl he met online.
He was arrested on Oct. 7 by members of ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit.
Police said sexually explicit photos of the victim were found on computers and electronics seized from Haberman’s home.
Haberman is charged with child luring, making sexually explicit material available to a minor, possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography and making child pornography.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 16.
RCMP believe it’s possible there are additional victims, and are asking anyone with information about this investigation, or any child exploitation offence, to contact police.
