TORONTO — A 36-year-old Toronto man faces charges in connection with a break-in that involved the suspect lying in children’s beds and turning adults’ photos down.

Toronto police said a 51-year-old woman returned to her home in the Oriole Parkway and Lonsdale Road area on Tuesday to find a man inside wearing only his underwear and a shirt.

The suspect allegedly ran away when confronted, which is when police said the homeowner noticed a number of things in the house had been tampered with.

The family dog had been let out of its crate and had its collar removed, cigarette butts were found in children’s bedrooms and an “impression” of the man’s body was found on their beds, according to police.

Police said framed photos of adults in the house had also been turned face down while the children’s photos remained standing.
