MONTREAL – Two pedestrians are in hospital in serious condition after being run over by a taxi in downtown Montreal early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. at the corner of de la Montagne Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard as a group of four people were crossing the street.
“Two of the people have serious injuries, they’ve been rushed to the hospital,” said André Leclerc with Montreal police.

One of the pedestrians was stuck under the car.
Police had to lift the vehicle to get her out.
