By the numbers: ‘The Hunger Games’

TORONTO – Let the games begin! The stars of the hotly anticipated adventure tale “The Hunger Games” are set to greet fans and walk the red carpet as the post-apocalyptic film makes its Canadian debut Monday.

Co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Vancouver-born Alexander Ludwig are set to attend a splashy premiere in downtown Toronto.

“The Hunger Games” is based on the bestselling dystopian teen novel by Suzanne Collins.
It stars Jennifer Lawrence as heroic teenager Katniss Everdeen, who is forced battle other children to the death. Hutcherson plays her rival, Peeta, while Hemsworth is her love interest, Gale, and Ludwig plays the villainous Cato.
