Saskatoon police Taser distraught woman threatening to harm herself

SASKATOON – Police had to use a Taser on a woman Thursday afternoon at a home in Saskatoon’s Greystone Heights neighbourhood. Police officials said it started with a report of a disturbance just before 4 p.m. CT.

When they arrived, officers found a distraught 43-year-old woman holding a knife and threatening to harm herself.

Police fired a Taser and the woman was taken into custody.

No charges are being laid and the incident will be reviewed in accordance with police policy.
