HALIFAX – Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Const. Catherine Campbell, who was found dead just after midnight on September 16 beneath the Macdonald Bridge on-ramp in Halifax.
According to First Presbyterian Church in Stellarton the funeral will be held there on Monday at 2 p.m. In an obituary released on Friday by H.W. Angus & H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Homes, Campbell was described as passionate and always eager to help.

“Anything Catherine pursued in her life she gave her heart, with passion and integrity,” it reads.
Campbell is survived by her parents, sister and brother, as well as many other family members. “She could be the caring, compassionate police officer, the courageous and fearless firefighter, a loyal loving daughter, a special sister, a caring friend, a caring aunt, she was like no other,” the obituary says.
Members of the Truro Police Service will be taking part in the ceremony on Monday.
Donations in memory of Campbell can be made to the Catherine Campbell Memorial Trust Fund.
Campbell is believed to have been killed early in the morning of September 11. She was reported missing on September 14, and her body discovered on September 16.
Christopher Garnier has been arrested and charged with second degree murder in connection with her death.
