Joining the bunch is Ben Foster, who took dangerous measures in order perfect his role as Lance Armstrong in Stephen Frears’ “The Program”, which is set to premiere at TIFF on Sunday.

The 34-year-old actor chose to ingest performance-enhancing drugs in hopes to understand his role on a personal level.

“For my investigation it was important for me privately to understand it. And they work,” he told The Guardian. “Even discussing it feels tricky because it isn’t something I’d recommend to fellow actors.”
