CALGARY – It may have been the Battle of Alberta, but the highlight of Monday’s Labour Day Classic between the Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders, was a rascally rabbit.

As the clock ran down during the second quarter, a kickoff return by Edmonton’s Kendial Lawrence was overshadowed as a jackrabbit ran on the field. The flying fluff ball eluded players and staff before making a theatrical jump into the end zone.

The small Labour day streaker soon gained traction on social media, as the hashtag #LabourDayBunny quickly started trending in Canada. No word if the bunny received a contract offer.
