Three facing charges after alleged abduction in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Three people are facing charges after an alleged abduction on Saskatoon’s east side. Police say it happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday in the area of 8th Street East and McKercher Drive.

According to witnesses, a 22-year-old man was taken against his will by two men.

Police said one of the suspects had a gun.

The investigation led police to a residence in the 100-block of Fairbrother Crescent where the victim was located unharmed.

Two men and a woman, all 22, were arrested and a firearm was located. They are facing charges of unlawful confinement and numerous weapons and firearms-related offenses.

The trio are scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Thursday afternoon.
